Quality Assessment Scheme (QAS)
The IBL International quality assessment scheme or Proficiency Testing (PT) was set up in 2005 because there was no standardization at that time for steroids in saliva.
The quality assessment scheme runs twice a year. Each distribution provides three samples: these multiparameter samples contain Cortisol, Testosterone, Estradiol, Progesterone and DHEA in various concentrations.
Each participant sends the results back to IBL-International, by email or by faxing the results form available on our website. IBL-International analyses the results statistically, and provides the participant with a QAS results sheet.
Confidentiality is ensured by use of a code number known only to the participant and to IBL.
The ring trials (proficiency tests) offered by Tecan, IBL International GmbH are a voluntary and free service. They are not subject to the requirements and framework conditions of the German Medical Review Board (RiliBÄK).
