Thyroid Function
The function of the thyroid gland is to take up iodine which can be found in a lot of food, and to convert it into the thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). The pituitary gland controls the thyroid gland by means of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). Every cell in the body depends upon thyroid hormones for regulation of the cell metabolism. Our products in this chapter are related to various thyroid diseases.
